In the near future, we may seek your help in delivering basic services to our community, as we gear for expanded community and door-to-door delivery of services. We ask the transport and logistics sectors to monitor workers and passengers for signs of infection and implement methods of social distancing at terminals. At this point, we ask relevant establishments (banks, restaurants, supermakets) in the city to be vigilant in implementing this by crafting guidelines for your staff and customers relevant to your space and the service you provide as well as making regular announcements and refusing service for those who do not comply. This is essential in the fight against the spread of the disease. Social distancing means keeping customers at 1 meter apart. If this is not possible, consider temporarily closing your facilities and seek immediate assistance from the LGU so we can assist you. We ask retail and commercial establishments to implement social distancing protocols immediately.
Keep your workers interacting at a minimal level. Students’ visit to malls and high-traffic areas will not be allowed.įor businesses, offices and workspaces based in the City, we ask that you prepare work-from-home options and other flexible arrangements that would keep your workers from interacting with other people. We appeal to parents and guardians to keep your children at home. To those who live or work outside NCR and travel to and from Taguig, please make arrangements with your employers/offices as entry and exit to NCR will be limited based on the President’s orders on suspension of travel to and from Metro Manila in 48 hours.
This infection in one NCR City affects ALL Cities. As Taguig has ONLY 1 CONFIRMED CASE to date, limiting movement is not mandatory but it is HIGHLY SUGGESTED as we believe that the National Capital Region is ultimately interlinked as families often have one member working or studying in a nearby City. We are asking all citizens and stakeholders of the City to limit movements to essential travel and emergencies.
